Pros

The health benefits are good. That's about it.

Cons

This is not the music industry, it is corporate America. You won't get a bonus unless you make over a certain amount of money. You won't get a review, just a "cost of living" increase. Nepotism at its finest since the new management took over. There are a lot of unqualified people in upper management. Hard work is not appreciated, and there is no room for growth.

Pros

Good entry level job if you have no former music industry experience.

Cons

My manager acted like they were the first person to ever work in the music industry, even though this was their first and only experience in music. Most members of the management team don't care to get to know their employees or help them grow. If you want a job in the music industry, you're better off networking your way into one, rather than giving all your time and energy to a team that tries to push you out as soon as you graduate

Pros

Being in the industry at all

Cons

The egos of those in power caused me to leave. It was all a power game, just a mini version of politics, and it was ugly. There's no such thing as doing a great job, having integrity, really KNOWING the music and the audience, and standing up for the artist, folks. It was all about kowtowing to the person above you, and saying what those in power wanted to hear. Couldn't wait to leave. Waited far too long to go...should have done it far sooner. Years of my life I can't get back.
