Pros

The pay is very good.

Cons

The management teams are a nightmare as an employee you do all the administrative, log in your hours, work and log in your student groups that can total 25-30 in 6.5 hours. Every school has different ELA programs, my school had 3. You are assigned a mentors yet my experience has been negative. I arrived at my first school and was told I was not needed, only a math teacher was. Not an acceptable situation. I was sent to another school where I they were just implementing UFLI, I was to be trained but it never happened. I was there and trying my best to adapt. I was texted 2 weeks later not to report to the school, no reason given. I heard nothing from Human Resources and all my support disappeared within UI. I was told the principal wanted “a candidate to hit the ground running”. I finally heard yesterday that I was not a good fit, I agree. UI does not have a cohesive and organized program that supports their employees.
