Pros

-Good assistance IF you have a good team for your school -Somewhat hands-off so you can tutor in your style and form a good relationship with teachers and students

Cons

-Confusing company hierarchy -Meetings are 80% a waste of time -Bad response time -Coworkers who literally don't show up or are constantly late are not even penalized, very arbitrary rules -If the weather is bad and school is let out early or delayed, you don't get paid -No sick pay despite working in public schools, stingy hours and recording -Little actual feedback or praise for work well done

No room for growth

Pros

Overall, the parent company, PCG is a good company to work for and has excellent benefits and values their employees. However, HR leadership at University Instructors offers no path of advancement for HR or recruiting. They are resistant to change and they continue to operate like a small company, even though they will be a $100 million dollar organization this year. There are so many internal processes that could be so much more efficient, but leadership works in silos and is resistant to change, even though they could literally save 10’s of thousands of dollars by streamlining redundant processes and integrating systems.

Cons

No room for growth, management resistant to change, even if it increases efficiency.
