Pros

Benefits and a nice office. Oh and a nice coffee.

Cons

Joined a really positive business with clear values. Leadership change and that whole culture has been destroyed in favour of nepotism, game playing of ancient Rome political betrayal levels in only a few years. Forced office mandate enforced by spreadsheets, complete layoff of all skilled and experienced staff to higher elevate senior management. Everyone's jittery about their jobs, cost cutting has started at silly levels and they preach they want to help everyone with wellbeing. Can only see a downward spiral from here with this toxic environment.

Lousy Management

Pros

Decent seeming company with all the usual benefits of working for a large Corporate

Cons

Ruined by an absolutely toxic and lousy management style that shows utter disregard for the welfare and wellbeing of employees. So called 'care' and 'support' for work environment and wellbeing of employees totally overridden by management, and sponsored (ignored) by HR / Senior management.

Pros

Work/life balance, the ability to work from home is useful especially as the head office is a difficult place to get to for most people. Colleagues are really friendly and one of the best things about the company Offices have been refurbished and are very nice

Cons

In my department some people recruited in senior positions have very little emotional intelligence and also show favouritism to certain employees who are just 'yes people'. It's very difficult to progress if you try to challenge them. Tendency to recruit externally rather than trying to develop talent within. The corporate line may say they do, but for the most part job progression is limited when you reach a certain level.
