Pros

Benefits are good when you have but the pay could be better. You will not get a raise for years when you ask.

Cons

pay is not good at all. And you are underappreciated at your job by your managers. It is hard to move around at Upstate.

Pros

salary was good, experience with trauma was invaluable. Surgeons were great.

Cons

leadership is lacking, and cut throat. Not professional, very little chance for advancement.

Good academic environment. Good pay and benefits. Great place to gain experience with critically ill patients. Areas of facility are new and state of the art

Cons

Med surgery floors are cramped and small. Far too many policies. Hierarchical bullying exists. Union protection lacking. Employees encouraged to blow in coworkers or face bullying themselves from management. Very political there. Very short staffed also.
