Great opportunity to gain hands on experience with rocket engine hardware and help build up a start up.
Pros
Best combination of healthy company culture and cutting edge tech and impactful work you can do that I have experienced so far in my career. Most engineers are people first, and not the other way around. Lots of autonomy to solve problems quickly. Lots of exposure to rocket hardware, rocket engines, and hands on learning, especially for early careers. Location is not bad, low humidity, and in winter you still get plenty of sunlight.
Cons
Growing pains - small company that is growing quickly, communication is harder, and priorities can change fast. Personally, I enjoy this challenge, but not for everyone. Working at a rocket testing site means you and/or your car WILL get very dirty. Small yet palpable separation between personnel who were there before the rapid expansion of the company, and is newer employees that came later.
