Pros

Makes a habit of promoting from within and mining it's employee's for resident talent.Promotions are very probable for those who seek them.

Cons

revenue is fixed to the tax base so raises are few and far between. and when a raise is recieved it is a token effort at best. UTA is a company with growing pains. The working conditions are good for me....clean shop nice new rolling stock. The language is foul and unprofessional in Supervisors and labor force. Ironicly because it hires so much from within....change of any kind is likely to be slow....the biggest problem with UTA is likely to be it's chief executives...but no company is perfect.

Pros

Excellent benefits, woman are valued as employees, flexibility, lots of room for advancement, free Frontrunner passes, gyms in all buildings, lots of training available to improve your computer skills, friendly people, excellent retirement plan.

Cons

There are a lot of people that have been there forever (one downside of working for a great company), and because there is so much promotion from within, there are quite a few older people that don't have the skills of the younger generation and they are set in their ways-example not wanting to use a computer and some don't have the outside knowledge that a lot of tasks could be computerized and that there is a better, more efficient way of doing things.

Pros

I am happy to work for a company that provides the important service of public transportation. I feel proud to help keep cars off the road and emmisions out of the air while getting people where they need to go.

Cons

I have worked here for 4 years and never received a raise and their has been no real opportunity for carreer advancement. I also have a lot of questions about the integrity of upper management.
