      Corporate Greed. Buying up neighborhood clinics, tearing them down

      Pros

      Get to do what you love with animals but at a price to your well being.

      Cons

      - low wages or no raises in over 3 years - poor management (lack of experience) - little training for management - terrible hours (either too low to qualify for benefits or overworked with no OT)

      The absolute worst company I ever worked for, run the other way as fast as you can!

      Pros

      I like the people I worked with in my own hospital but that is it.

      Cons

      The company is beyond un ethical to say the least. The majority of the problems stem from the ROD's and their support managers. They lie and munipulate to get what they want. They over charge clients to the extreme and do you think that the actual workers in the hospitals ever see a dime of that. Not even close to it. You will be lucky if you get a fifty cent raise in three or four years. Unless your morrels are like that of a con man and VCA then beware, for this is not a great company to work for. So concider this a warning to stay clear away of VCA Antech.

      A place that doesn't value its employees

      Pros

      Excellent facilities for their specialty hospitals, Doctors are at the top of their field, Inusurance and 401k available.

      Cons

      The management couldn't care less about the employees, they have frozen wages 3 out of the past 5 years, and the raises are a joke. You are disposable, don't even think you will get a Christmas card from the company let alone a bonus. The turnover is high because no on can stand the way that management upper and lower operates.
