Pros

Only pursues work that fits with core values, so it's easy to be proud of your work and don't have to apologize for your company doing something you don't agree with. Recent IT investments provide state of the art service to all employees at all locations, makes collaboration much easier than at other companies

Cons

Though the company values diversity and seems to honestly promote it, it is still mainly run by white men from New England. I don't think this is intentional but they should work harder to recruit more diverse leaders

Mixed feelings about VHB

Pros

Wonderful people - I haven't come across a single mean-spirited person in any of the groups I've worked with. Great office culture - There's a definite sense that they try to inject a little fun where they can in the workday. Flexibility - The ability to work remotely is fantastic, especially when home with a sick kid, or when winter hits and roads are dangerous.

Cons

Management tends to take work from less competent people, pile it on more competent people, and continue to pay the less competent people as if they were doing their own work, while refusing to throw the more competent, incredibly overworked people any additional assistance.

Pros

The company is growing, ability to dictate your own career path within your discipline, laid back work environment (although sometimes too much), flexible work hours although it depends on your manager to some degree.

Cons

Poor incentive pay, the company doesn't do enough to get rid of under-performing people, Watertown sucks as an office location.
