Pros

Pay is great. Staff is friendly.

Cons

Short staffed many nights. Pt load is usually 5 -6 patients. So many employees thinking the grass is greener on the other side, but its not. I've heard its like this everywhere. Main problem is can't see staff long enough to hire more people . If they waited around longer, the staffing issue would be solved. Would like to get charge nurse pay too.

Thank you for taking the time to review your workplace experience. I’m happy to hear that our comp plan is working for you and that you enjoy the team. We are committed to being not only the best Health System to work for, but also one of the best workplaces in Northern Virginia. We are keenly aware, as I’m sure you know, of staffing shortages that can occur in our highly competitive industry. We have identified recruitment, retention and workplace communication as our highest priorities for the coming year. I’d like to share that we have several initiatives in the works to provide potential team members with all of the tools they need to apply and onboard quickly. I appreciate your feedback and suggestions, and would welcome chatting in greater detail with you. Pros

The pay was comparable to other companies at the time. The health insurance wasn't cheap by any means but it was affordable. The office had updated technology.

Cons

The office I worked in, an outpatient office, was terrible. Essentially the entire staff turned over every 6 months. The atmosphere was awful. The other employees were very unwelcoming, childish, and had no concept of team work. The annual raises are the lowest I've ever seen and they boast about education assistance but you have to jump through hoops to even try to apply for acceptance into the tuition assistance program .

As such, we have several initiatives in place for the coming year to further support communication and collaboration amongst team members.
