      Pros

      Very good people working at company. Good looking facilities to work at. Access to training material is easy to access. Several online and self paced training options to learn more about the company and its products.

      Cons

      Much of the work was being taken over by India team. Systems seemed to be in growth mode. Too many individual systems hard to tie data together. Lot of things seemed to be unorganized due to the many different systems that had started in the small company environment that no longer fit in the larger company mode.

      Pros

      Great people in the field on license sales, services sales, and delivery teams. Higher than usual positive feedback on Support response to customers. Lots of innovation on the product side and willingness to balance organic growth of products with acquisitions.

      Cons

      Ability to earn is becoming more and more challenging with the significant increases in targets Rapid growth in the size of the middle management layer - TOO MANY I know there is politics in every org but VMware managers take it to another level

      Big company perks. Pays well.

      Cons

      If you are not a star working on the core product, you do not feel valued. Several groups internally are working on competing technologies. Marketing team has little idea how the actual products work. Very old-school management philosophies, set deadline and work harder. Lots of late nights in Palo Alto.
