Pros

Great employee culture, and the leaders really walk their talk. I had a lot of support from my managers over the 7 years I worked there and I developed my career very well. They offer great professional development. GSS is a busy high volume job, it's rewarding but can wear on you. Incredibly the staff stays very positive throughout and they have a lot of passion for the technology. It's a great place to work.

Cons

Salary may be lower or not as competitive as other software companies.

Pros

- Many young fresh grads. - Big name company in the region (VMware) - Friendly coworkers

Cons

- No fast track. Unclear career path. - The organization structure is mostly flat. You seldom move up; rather, you move to a different entry level position. - No clear designation of job titles. You might be hired for a specific position; simply to have your title changed by the company to something else after you join. - Zero support for employee development. - Managers do not work with each others. Each manager has his/her own political agenda. - Lower than average salary - Crude products. Managers continue to emphasize qualities, but only verbally. - The company always tout about the Trade Floor as an open and collaborative environment. Google trade floor and AirWatch. Anyone will tell you that you work in a factory farm, sweat shop or something. I see it as a major distraction. How do you expect people to work when others come over every 5 min. If it is such a great environment, why isn't the CEO working on the Trad Floor? - Many more that might not be safe to disclose.
