Pros

Used to be the place that people loved to go to work and take pride in what they did. Great Benefits and Very few Good Managers left. Wonderful Mission to help their patients.

Cons

Highly Corrupt IT senior Management, Starting from the CIO and over paid VP's that do not understand technology. Highly stressful environment due to Layoffs and impending layoffs due to Poor IT spending by CIO and partnership with vendors that DO NOT benefit VNSNY rather benefit themselves.

Pros

Great IT department. Good benefits.

Cons

Ever since Mary Ann Christopher started as the CEO, she has ruined this once stellar home care agency. How can you possibly justify laying off 1500 employees yet continue to advertise new jobs and speak of expansion?? The senior management are so out of touch and do not understand that cutting staff at the bottom can lead to patient dissatisfaction and endangerment.

Pros

WFH, pay is good and the opportunity to help patients. That’s it

Cons

It’s a “non-profit” that acts like corporate and constantly changes things like a start up. You will honestly be burnt out very early here. There have been numerous layoffs because they want to cut cost and implement oversea teams and AI. Leadership is out of touch and toxic/rude, they will not train you properly and then be upset when you make a mistake. Speaking of training, good luck. You’ll be thrown around with different people and then thrown to the wolves. Staffing is a HUGE problem but they continue to ignore it and question why hospitals won’t choose them as their #1 home care agency, if you like your mental health , stay away.
