Thank you for taking the time to share a review. I'm sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience during your time with Valet Living. Our District Managers have a challenging job and it’s true that working at Valet Living may not be for everyone. Related to your comment on associate feedback, we are working hard in this area. Each year we provide our associates the opportunity to provide feedback anonymously through or annual all associate survey. The results from this survey are used to identify opportunities and confirm strengths. We also continue to leverage a variety of internal tools to allow for open communication amongst our associates, given them the opportunity to share feedback directly and also stay up to date with organization changes. We recognize we have work to still do in this area and continue to work on improving how we collect feedback to make improvements. If there is any additional that you would like to share with us, please send me an email to antonio.fiorentino@valetliving.com. We wish you the best in your career.

Pros

Company vehicle, computer, cell phone, iPad. Holidays off.

Cons

Over worked and under paid. Everything is monitored. Company vehicle with geotab. Phone, computer and iPad are monitored. The apps are designed to control you and monitor the employees and not help you be more productive. There is no trust. On call from 8am to midnight 7 days a week. Micromanaged by upper management. The more you do, the more they give you to do. Rarely promote from within.

Thank you for providing a review. We’re sorry to hear that you are not having a positive experience as a District Manager. Our company vehicles are equipped with GPS monitoring which is mostly standard for any organization that provides a company vehicle for associate use. As a growing company, with more than 1.3 million apartment homes services, we are advancing further with our technological capabilities and do have expectations that our associates leverage these tools appropriately as they complete their work. Our District Managers work a split shift schedule (am/pm) which many of our associates prefer, however we recognize this may not be for everyone. Most of our hiring is done within our Operations side of the business and we’re proud of our focus on internal mobility, filling over 65% of our Lead Service Valet position, 40% of our District Manager position, and 75% of our Regional Director of Operations position from within the company. We value our associates and take their feedback seriously, I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further with you. Please email me at antonio.fiorentino@valetliving.com

Horrible Management

Pros

Convenient work hours for those who have a full time AM job.

Cons

Horrible management. My experience was in the Lewisville, TX area. I worked there for 2 months and previously worked in other areas around Dallas, TX. The manager in Lewisville had agreed to have me work 4 days Sunday-Wednesday since I had my AM schedule conflicting with my PM schedule. She agreed to pay and i started little did i know that she had been taking half my pay for Sundays (busiest day of the week) and giving it to another person who was covering Thursdays which she never told me about. I asked her to move me to being a floater that way my pay would not be effected, but she did not like that and told me she would only be giving me 1 day every now and then. I wanted to work and i had worked with other managers as a floated and they provided me work every night. I asked her to transfer me to another district and she dragged her feet on that by not answering my texts emails or anything even though i had another manager willing to take me on. After about 2 weeks of working maybe 1 day she fired me and put on my file as not eligible for rehire. If you are working for this company i recommend to be weary of the district managers. My experience might have been a rare experience but this ruined my experience with this company after actually enjoying working for them in the past.
