Pros

Pay is okay if you like working 12-15 hour days and benefits are above satisfactory. Most of the people are good, hard working people. There is always work opportunities because the turnover is rediculouly high. Company provides vehicle, iPad, iPhone, and laptop.

Cons

Where should I start? You spend most of your days talking with property staff that don't care about the service as long as it's getting done and the only time they do have something to say, they are complaining. Service valets are unreliable because they are paid a low wage and it is only PT work. You are constantly being told "You gotta keep recruiting ". The background check is ridiculously stringent for PT trash collection. I had one that didn't pass, yet he had to go through a background check to work at the hospital he is employed at. The DM position is a joke! You end up having to pick up trash every night even if you are fully staffed you will constantly have call outs or you will expected to "help" in some one else's district. Be prepared to work from about 8AM to 3/4PM and then again from 7:30-to 11PM or later. There is virtually no home/work life balance. You seem like you are working all day, everyday.

Thank you for taking time to provide a review. We value our associates and their feedback and I’m sorry to hear that you have many concerns. Earlier this year, we solicited feedback directly from our associates on how we can be better. Based on the feedback, we have been working on improvements in several areas, including compensation/benefits and staffing. We recently made revisions to our Service Valet recruiting process that speeds up the hiring timeframe and in 2018 we are introducing a more robust benefit plan offering at a lower cost as well as a new recognition and rewards platform. We continue to benchmark our compensation plans within industry and alike to ensure we remain competitive in total compensation offering. We have several other key initiatives underway and I would love the opportunity to speak with you regarding how you feel we can improve. Please email me at Antonio.fiorentino@valetliving.com so we can set up some time to talk.
