Pros

Little work for decent money. Most Fridays, no one does any work at all, they just socialize. (I'm glad I'm not a shareholder trying to get service on a Friday.) They let you go early on the Friday before a holiday and sometimes have casual days. The rest of the time guys wear a tie and women are all dressed up with nowhere to go. If you like working in a newish warren of cubicles, you'll love this place. Just follow the rules and you'll be fine.

Cons

This used to be a great place to work when Jack Bogle was running the company. Since then, it has become a bureaucratic maze full of self important managers who don't have a clue. The company is skating on the ludicrously positive press that it always seems to get.

Horrible and Toxic

Pros

Get to work from home Monday and Friday...Those days only. You're badge swipes will be tracked if not in the office Tues-Thurs

Cons

Where do I start. Management is AWFUL. You will be Micromanaged, Micromanaged. I’ve never worked at a company that micromanages this much. You will be monitored and watched for everything you do. The only way most managers got their role was because they have worked at the company more than 10 years. They have no leadership skills what so ever. The retail/PITech division is very toxic. Everything is centered around deadlines and metrics. They will invest literally billions of dollars in useless tools to generate metrics but refuse to invest in the actual people that work there. The retail division is a dog eat dog environment and you are just a number and everyone lies to each other. There’s also seniority favoritism/bias. Anyone working here more than 10+ years has been institutionalized and drank the "crew" kool-aid and expects to be treated with superiority (or think they should be treated that way) Some “people” that work here have incorporated their countries work culture of a caste system. This means women will be treated with less respect than the males in certain departments (look up caste bias). If you value your confidence and mental health, don’t work here.

Low pay and lower morale

Pros

- 10% RSP and additional 401k match - You get paid money to do a job - hybrid work model is better than fully in person

Cons

- hybrid work model. No reason most positions need to be in office 3 days a week. Its a waste of commuter time and money - Poor management - Poor senior management. Lack of accountability for managers giving unfair reviews and showing favoritism - Toxic work environment - Company waste crewmembers time asking for feedback despite never listening or caring about what we have to say - If your manager doesn’t like you he or she can give you a poor review without valid reasons (this effects pay, ability to apply to other teams, and yearly raise)
