Pros

Very loyal to the employees. Excellent benefits. Do the right thing culture. Low risk tolerance. Clients come first.

Cons

Flat organizational structure makes it extremely difficult to move up if you are not willing to travel the General Manager path. Not known for paying very well at the base level. However, overall total compensation is not too bad. You sacrifice pay for stability.

Pros

the 401k investment choices are a plus, not the 4% match you get after a year of hell or the quarterly contribution or the pathetic bonus. Compared to other firms Vanguard does have a decent selection of investment options.

Cons

For the un-inspirational the perfect career choice. Answer a phone for the rest of your life, someone has to do it why shouldn't it be you. The key for success is to smile, act dumb, cook cup cakes, brownies, and pass out candy to your team and you will go far.
