Pros

Great benefits espeially compared to other financial service companies but the salary is not enough to make up for it. In other words great benefits TERRIBLE salary base.

Cons

Terrible salary, actually about 50% of average. However the benefts help make up for the extremely low salary. Also they give you almost no time to make a decision on your offer, and the require you drop everything to take a drug screen within 5 days of verbal acceptance which is unheard of-- what if you are on vacation or traveling??

Pros

Great industry reputation, good benefits (especially time off), great place to get started in the Financial Services & Investment industry, strong emphasis in exploring new jobs internally within different departments

Cons

Average pay, below average overall industry acumen (especially when compared to other broker/dealers vs. other mutual fund companies), lots of internal red tape, overall technology is lagging the rest of the industry

Its all an illusion...

Pros

The physical location is very nice. Decent cafe & staff, nice gym. The CEO is very approachable when you see him around campus.

Cons

The pay is absolutely just horrible and mgmt tries to make you believe that its the best in the business! Promotions/raises/merit bonuses are based on how well you play in the sand box not your skills. Its all about going out to lunch with "the team" and whether or not you participate in somebody's baby shower/going away/etc. party. No matter how hard you work, unless you go over the top to chirp and chatter with "the team", then you are seen as an outcast or "mean" as I was once called and not rated fairly. Lots of youngsters that have not yet developed a real sense of work ethic work on campus. Some of them are very unprofessional, dress like tramps and beach bums. There is also a sense of entitlement among those that are above a "F" level. Every message has to be delivered in a specific way or your tone could be "misunderstood." Diversity is weak. All the right words are said but the actions are contrary.
