Pros

Great campus, nice grass, modern furniture.

Cons

If you are looking for a company that values their employees and threat them fairly, then Vanguard is not for you. The company is hammering the message of low cost into it's employees heads, yet they boast to the media that they brought in record cash flow. There are so many inconsistencies and contradictions to what Vanguard says, and does. Search discrimination at Vanguard or Vanguard lawsuits. It's all true.

Pros

Management gets plenty of coffee breaks while analysts work diligently often for 10+ hours straight. If you are in a non-finance related department, your days are fairly whimsical. Nearly impossible to get fired as top talent is leaving the company so they are trying to retain who they can. Co-workers are what makes work slightly bearable on a daily basis. Great opportunity to develop your multitasking skills as you will not only be doing your job, you will be doing that of your subordinates and managers.

Cons

Work your hardest day in and day out, but you will not see any glimmer of appreciation from managers. Hire kids straight out of college to manage large departments who are often entitled and believe they are gods gift to the earth to have gone through a rotational program. Slow to adapt to new technologies so every process has band-aids and patches on it which will inevitably break monumentally.

Pros

The best benefit is having a lot of PTO so I don’t have to work

Cons

Tim Buckley (CEO) needs to be fired. Do not be fooled with their flywheel of highly engaged crew at the center. They claim to be inclusive but that is not the case. I developed several medical conditions from Covid and provided doctors notes and was still rejected to work from home because it didn’t meet guidelines. The company has a clear policy that they do not care about employees health and are putting the company first.
