So sad but happy to be gone

Pros

Benefits are good, but my former colleagues are worried they will be cut as part of massive cutbacks.

Cons

I just couldn't stand the relentless pressure to sell their managed investment account (PAS). Despite what the clients are told, crew is directly or indirectly paid based on PAS leads or conversions. It no longer is what is best for the client. Despite record cash flow, I understand that bonus pay, overtime, raises are being reduced or eliminated. The company claims it needs PAS revenue to survive. Gross mismanagement, large cost overruns on major initiatives have turned a once brilliant company into a place where crew hate to work.

Pros

Solid pay for what the job is. Zero stress, never work over 40 hours. Most coworkers are cool to work with.

Cons

In a position that was bonus eligible and exempt. With recent changes mgt has stripped over 2000 employees of this while increasing pay of senior mgt. Its a terrible place right now with extremely low morale. Starting to look for new place of employment.

Pros

It is a almost impossible to get fired. If you can reserve a table for happy hour at Four Peaks the sky is the limit for your career. Clean bathrooms. Tuition assistance to help you land a job somewhere else.

Cons

You can't afford the seasonal ales at Four Peaks. Anyone who is interested in a real finance job gets their licensing, a little experience, and leaves. Very high turnover. Pay is laughable. IT IS A CALL CENTER which is fine but the company sells the jobs as a financial services position which you will be able to have a book of business and help people - this is not true. Everyone is miserable. I would sit in the parking lot in my car for ten minutes and cry everyday before going in. The level of incompetence of people working there (especially management) is disturbing.
