Pros

On paper, Vantive has strong values, a clear vision, and a focus on innovation. The organization has the potential to be a great workplace, and there are talented individuals across teams who genuinely want to do meaningful work.

Cons

Unfortunately, the reality at the Bangalore R&D Center does not reflect the company’s stated values. Leadership challenges: The top-level management in Bangalore does not consistently foster a positive or inclusive working environment. Decision-making often appears centralized and disconnected from ground realities. While innovation and strategy are frequently discussed, there is a noticeable lack of openness to new ideas, with a tendency toward closed-minded thinking. Lack of ownership and direction: There is a common perception among employees that the center is not being led effectively, with limited accountability in driving a truly innovative and collaborative culture. HR concerns (major issue): The HR function is one of the biggest pain points: • The so called site HR Leader is perceived as unapproachable and judgmental, discouraging employees from seeking support. • There is a lack of psychological safety, leading many to stay silent rather than raise concerns. • Conversations with HR often feel one-sided and directive, with more focus on lecturing than understanding or resolving the actual issue. • There is a perception that the site HR leadership operates with a “know-it-all” approach, often dismissing employee perspectives rather than engaging in open, empathetic dialogue. • Interactions can come across as lacking humility and approachability, which further widens the gap between employees and HR. • There is minimal visible effort toward employee engagement, motivation, or morale-building initiatives. • Feedback mechanisms do not appear to result in meaningful or transparent action. • HR seems to have disproportionate influence over site decisions, overshadowing other senior leaders. This overall environment results in low morale, reduced motivation, and a lack of trust in leadership. Many employees feel unheard, unsupported, and disengaged.
