      Pros

      Professional and knowledgeable people, Flexible PTO (for real). Separate office space. Gym and free snacks.

      Cons

      Outdated, huge software systems that sprawl endlessly and lack documentation. Lack of effective supervision, lack of professional development, no promotions.

      Lack of Process Impacts Development Schedule

      Pros

      Challenging, exciting aerospace work; did offer remote work option for contractors. Agile engineering development setup.

      Cons

      Poor training for contractors, no benefits for contractors (paid holidays, for example), unstructured and oft-changing business and project priorities and schedules, no PMO. Extensive time spent on internal financial reporting on a home-grown financial tracker. I wish the process development had cemented more quickly, and the team would have been held more accountable for delivering uniform project plans and documents; at times, it felt like we'd never achieve any formal process. Difficult to track spending on external vendors.
