If you can hang out with your boss, you will have the best job, even if you don't know anything. You will promote, raise and you will have very secure job. Doesn't matter if you come on time, doesn't matter if you are not working (Just pretend you are busy and you have lots of project going on).

Cons

Your technical knowledge is not valued at all. Lots of office politics. No more job security.
