Pros

Outside of learning about sales and what it takes to be successful in the industry, most of my colleagues were an absolute joy. The company itself is a leader in the space. You are proud to share that you work for a company that firmly believes and stands behind core values.

Cons

Note: I can only speak on my experience as an SDR. Leadership fails to meet company standards. This would be an ideal place for someone looking to learn about sales. Accordingly, this is a terrible environment for someone looking to grow, specifically in a sales role, within an organization. Operating as any other corporate structure, management will continuously entice you to "work harder with less" in order to advance, both professionally and financially, into positions that are currently, and likely permanently, only being offered to external candidates. Senior leadership oversees a total of 800 employees so it is understandable that they do not have the bandwidth to concern themselves with every aspect of the organization. Nonetheless, they are accountable when it comes to the oversight of lower-level management. <1% commission (non-negotiable) No career growth (internally) Micro-management from managers Read from a script and be penalized for not doing so Favoritism

Thank you for your review of your employee experience at Vector Solutions. Working in sales definitely presents challenges. An innovative new sales technique has been rolled out to all our sales teams and represents a sizable time and financial investment in our sales people. Definitely not "work harder with less"! Growth Pathways was launched in March 2023 and it provides a process where all our open positions are posted internally to give employees an opportunity to move into new growth roles and be promoted from within when the business need and opportunity presents itself. Open positions are certainly not only being offered to external candidates and over 40% of open positions are filled internally. It also provides a model to help employees own their career and development and provides tools and resources for managers and employees to have effective career development conversations. Senior management certainly "has the bandwidth" to remain accountable to concern themselves with all aspects of the company.

Sinking ship. Don't waste your time.

Pros

None (despite what the cookie cutter marketing response to this will try to convince you)

Cons

Early on, the community was fantastic and everyone was supportive of each other (at least at our location), but as corporate began to aggressively wedge themselves in, things fell apart. The veterans who knew better jumped ship early on and turnover began a slow bleed. The goals and targets were very obtuse with no consideration for long-term growth. - Aggressive micromanaging - Highly stressful - Cronyism

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate learning what we don’t do well so we can improve and truly reflect our company values. As a fast-growing company, we continue to streamline our processes and implement best practices during acquisitions and structure changes. We understand and acknowledge that our team members are affected by these shifts and we take effort to minimize the negative impact they carry. We also understand that sometimes, even a well-crafted marketing response won’t carry the weight we hope it does, but we truly believe in our values, which include excellence, teamwork, and ownership, and strive to do better every day.

Pros

Great industry to work in and Customers were awesome to work with.

Cons

-Very Toxic culture and environment, unlike any company I’ve ever worked for -Watched continual Backbiting between colleagues -Received No support from management -CEO mean and divisive -Direct Manager was more interested in personal success than in doing what was right and supporting employees -Wanted to like this company because the industry was so satisfying to work in but just could not.
