Great culture. Management and HR really care about the team members and our growth in the company. It was sometimes crazy, but very cool that we brought in so many different companies. Very fun things to do all the time.

Cons

Sometimes it was very busy and if anyone was on PTO, it was a lot harder on everyone else. But they did order pizza! Also we had good PTO, but couldn't use all of it and would lose it

Pros

Half day Fridays, snacks in the kitchen, overall very calm environment. Good place for people with families who aren’t interested in climbing the corporate ladder. You are never expected to work outside of your 40 hours.

Cons

The “culture” is definitely off. They use Skype messenger to communicate around the office rather than just walking 5 feet to talk to someone in the next cubicle. In fact, it would be frowned upon to do so. Things can get petty that way, very quickly. There's lots of gossip flying around at all times via Skype, and it's really hard to stay out of it in such a small company. Management is very indirect in communication as well, with a tendency to brush things under the rug rather than having real conversations. Company fun events and happy hours are sparsely attended and if they are ever required, are extremely painful.

Thank you for your feedback. The HR team is based out of the Tampa office, but we are always available with an open door to discuss concerns of our employees. Employee engagement, morale, culture and people feeling good about working for and the work they do at Vector Solutions is important to us. We have had several promotions over the last few months in both our San Diego and Tampa offices! Many of our employees have been recognized and grown to new positions. We have right sized employees where appropriate and are continuing to do so where necessary.

Pros

Flexibility when it comes to family schedules. As long as the work performed is high quality and done on time, no problems. People are awesome, very helpful and kind. Management is flexible and open to new ideas. No micro-management, instead you are empowered to try things and see what works. The clients are mostly public-safety organizations and making their lives easier is a rewarding feeling.

Cons

Some changes since the company has been acquired, so a little bit of uncertainty.

We know time off to recharge is important and encourage employees to take time away from work with our generous our paid time off… vacation, sick / personal time, paid holidays, and a few extra days here and there ensure that our employees are always on top of their game!
