Great Company for Technical Presales Engineers

Pros

Very collaborative environment, supportive by management, recognized by executives as critical to the sales process. Good teamwork with product management and R&D.

Cons

Slow to adopt legacy feature support, since it is a modern solution, but enterprises still need to protect AIX, NetApp filers, mainframe and so on. Also, while cloud data protection is very good, some inexplicable lags in releasing on the fly conversion to enable DR from private (VMware) to public Cloud.

Good, fun work environment with great people but a strong "boys club"

- Fun environment - Good people - Constantly challenged - Good opportunities for professional development - Not a lot of bureaucracy or red tape to get things done

Cons

Still very much an old school tech "boys club". I observed women acting in ways I hadn't seen in other company cultures (flirtatious, etc.) just to gain favor and get ahead. I know that sounds silly and happens in a lot of places, but it came across strong here and it was heavily driven by the male-dominated culture that rewarded that kind of behavior with better opportunities, etc. I saw teams where men were promoted heavily and much quicker over more experienced and tenured women. Very few women leaders. They talk a big game with their "Women in Green" program but it's just a lot of talk - very little action. It was a joke.
