Pros

Veeva does a good job placing employee well-being at the same level of importance as customer success. A rapid release schedule with accompanying heavy and light workload periods keeps things interesting; something new is always on the way. Good benefits as well as some delighters like free lunch every day and regular happy hours. Pragmatic culture pervades with come-as-you-are dress code and work-from-home options. Work-life balance is respected.

Cons

If your role's responsibilities are tied to the release schedule, it could be too intense for some.

The Fall

Pros

- If having a good team leader/manager, it's relatively easy to have support in career advancement - Lot of smart, interesting colleagues - Looks good on CV if career is continued in Life Sciences - Products are quite good and interesting to work with

Cons

- A lot of talk about employee/customer success, but in reality you are only semi-appreciated if you give up on all your personal life, sometimes sleeping time, sanity, just to make a customer successful - Years and years ago the outcome of very strict hiring was a lot of talented, hardworking, smart people. Due to the rapid growth the quality has significantly dropped and seems like we are heading towards more like a shared service center approach, however the job is way more difficult than that. As a result the hardworking/more talented people work a lot more with added stress to make up for the half-cooked teams. Also there is zero coaching - seniors are expected to coach others while delivering projects and working long hours - There is a strong effort to establish a cult-like, orange atmosphere. It's clear that many young new-starters get under it's influence, but with time this is replaced with sarcasm and cynicism because the original presentation of the company is not in alignment with the everyday experience in the longterm. Most colleagues are exhausted, stressed and looking for jobs.
