Above senior ops level, there are no people leading ground ops who have any idea about or experience in warehousing and distribution. They come from analyst backgrounds and run their areas through a spreadsheet. They think they are a tech company but they are a logistics company. Massive headcount and spend on the tech side is why there are continued layoffs. My immediate boss was the single worst leader I've ever worked under and his superior failed to keep him in check. The mental toll it took on my personal life and mental health was significant. I would routinely wake up to long, rambling private slack messages about god knows what that ultimately resulted from him forming an opinion before having enough information. This was a regular occurrence. He also routinely lied to me about my schedule and then would walk it back. The warehousing systems were non-existent leading to major inefficiencies.

Management is garbage. They will actively choose to keep horrible managers because they are afraid they are already short on managers. There is zero career growth, and an amazing amounts of deceit about promotions. You can actually pin this down to when Human and Candor were removed from the company. This made it super obvious the company was going to start doing shady things.
