Pros
My teammates are some of the smartest, most creative people I've ever worked with. The work/problem solving is really interesting too. I feel engaged on a daily basis. It's definitely a learning type atmosphere so there's this "we're all in it together" kind of feeling. That goes for creating the company as well - employees are invited to make it the kind of company they want it to be. To actively be part of the solution. If a problem is identified, employees are empowered to figure out how to solve the problem and are given the resources to do so. I've found the leadership team to be really open to honest feedback and suggestions. The general atmosphere in my experience is one of continuous improvement - improving our products, improving our customer service, improving our processes, improving our culture, etc. I like being part of that kind of team and find it very energizing.
Cons
It's a start up so that means a lot of things are still being figured out/established. There's very few standardized ways of doing things, which can be hard especially when you're new. I found that really confusing at first and quite frustrating. If you're someone who thrives on clear processes and everything running like a well oiled machine, Ridgeline might not be the place for you. However, if you're someone who likes to help create the well oiled machine, it's probably worth exploring.
