Fairly traditional/conservative for an office in the Silicon Valley, but not uncommon in the law firm industry. Some particular attorneys can be difficult to serve, but I never worked with them. Bonuses are nominal and raises are basically the cost of inflation, so negotiate your initial salary offer well. There was little room to grow, which is the only reason why I left.

Upper management, aside from the actual HR department, is bland. Advancement is not encouraged, raises are minimal at best among staff and grow by leaps and bounds for upper management & attorneys. Very little diversity in staff and in thought process. There is no work schedule flexibility - it is still very much a "punch the clock", one hour in and out for lunch type of place. Depending on your direct supervisor more often than not you will be micromanaged.
