Pros

A very thorough interview process with three different interviews with three different levels of management. It was a great way to learn what the job was all about from three different perspectives. As soon as I was offered the job, I was flown to Atlanta for training. The training is/was very clear and extensive which made me feel confident when I started. Everyone I've met is so kind and willing to help. There's so much of this company's culture that is for the people. You have so many opportunities to grow and learn and live better ! I love it !

Cons

If you're not a fan of travelling, prizes, and great management than I guess that would be a downside. If you don't like being rewarded for doing a good job or for completing your goals, then this isn't the place for you. BUT if you are, I definitely recommend Venterra !

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! It's great reading that you enjoyed our culture, leadership, and employee incentives during your time with us, but are so sorry that you had some individuals who weren't a celebratory as they could have been! It's a Leader Promise of ours to make sure that we are making the time to celebrate and have fun, so we'll be sure to pass your comments on this as well as on salary range along appropriately. Regarding salary, we have made some recent changes to increase pay ranges to become even more competitive within the industry. We know that we set the bar high for our employees and they deserve to have compensation that's in line with those expectations. Thank you again for your review here!

Pros

I have worked for Venterra for 1.5years and can honestly say this company loves their employees. From team building activities to monthly contests, corporate is always looking for a way to keep employees happy and involved. Benefits are lovely. The fitness program that is offered through insurance is very cost efficient and better than any other single gym membership I’ve ever had.

Cons

The deciding factor of why I have chosen to leave Venterra is the salary. Their super high expectation and extensive training just doesn’t match up to what salary they offer. Once Venterra hires these phenomenal leasing consultants and train them to be top notch leasers, other company’s see how well they lease and hire them with a higher starting salary. Other companies with less expectations and simple training techniques are stealing the best employees simply because they are a little more generous. Venterra will wait for you to say that you’re leaving before offering the correct compensation for your position and abilities. Venterra makes it extremely hard to reach perfection making you never feel “good enough.” Other companies see you as a diamond in the rut and show their appreciation from the start. The company itself has a great pro-employee mindset but for some reason they are lacking on the compensations side. Salary matters. In today’s day and age people have lives to live and bills to pay. Money isn’t everything but almost everything needs money. Also, very little growth opportunities. I have seen multiple scenarios where Venterra will hire an outside interviewee before promoting an internal employee who has shown and proven their dedication to the company.

We appreciate your leaving a review and are happy to read about the many positives you experienced during your time with us. As great as it is to read about them, we're also sorry seeing that you wouldn't recommend us overall. While we definitely set the bar high for employee expectations, we also want to offer compensation that is fair, competitive, and in line with the responsibilities the individuals on our team are asked to take on. In this same vein, we have a Leader Promise to strive to promote from within by looking to the members on our team prior to looking outside the organization when the need to fill a role arises. Although we have made a few recent changes to help ensure we are continuing to do well on these fronts, there is still always room for continued improvement. As these initiatives are both critical to creating positive employee experiences your feedback here is very valuable to us and will absolutely be passed along. Thank you again so much for taking the time to share your thoughts here.
