      Venterra genuinely cares about their employees and that is one thing I noticed right away working for them!

      Pros

      I love working for Venterra because of all of the programs they do to keep everyone involved, like WOWs & Better Living, etc. They have annual events that bring all of the employees together and they also have programs that are there for their customers to receive the best customer service! My Managers are always very easy to come to with questions or concerns, I always feel like I have someone to go to if needed! Venterra is also very big on promoting within, so they give you endless open opportunities to work up to!

      Cons

      I do think as far as office hours go on the weekends that it's a little excessive. I feel like Sundays are family days and that the offices should be closed. Especially considering the office hours during the week days are fully accessible as we are open late two nights a week and are here 7 hours on Saturdays.

While having most of our communities open on the weekends can be a great thing for our current and future residents, we understand that it can definitely be a sacrifice for our employees who work on these days. It's critical that we strike a good balance between customer experience and employee experience.       New Employee Experience

      Pros

      The office culture and dynamics are exactly what I was looking for in my job search. There is a strong sense of community and support of one another, which is a very rare find. One of the biggest pros I've noted thus far is how much Venterra promotes and encourages a positive work environment. It is very apparent through different outlets and programs such as the WOW nominations, where you can post a story about an employee that did something that wowed you. Those stories can be voted on throughout the year and can sometimes produce a monetary reward for that employee at the end of the year. Recognizing the employees is the best way to keep them happy!

      Cons

      A couple of the negatives for me at this point are that the location of the corporate office is a bit remote and far from everything. The neighborhood is also a little scary at night. Secondly, the balance between the salary and the work volume for my particular role is a bit skewed. There is a demand for a high volume of work but the compensation does not match the work.

Our WOW program is definitely among a few of our favorite initiatives that help us stand out from other companies in a big way. Hopefully our increased focus on simplification across the board will help to decrease that work volume a bit, but we definitely want to make sure that compensation is in line as closely as possible with the work you put in. With that in mind we definitely want to encourage you to have open conversations with your manager as well as speak up or submit a Better Way suggestion if you have an idea that could make us more streamlined as a company and in turn make your life easier!       Dishonest company, lots of turnover of leadership, many leaders are not accountable, owners are not honest with investors, no real plan for the future
