Pros

-Decent miles, -Lots of home time That's about it

Cons

-Dispatch puts you on bad loads and tries to put a sleeper cab where only a day cab should be -Maintenance doesn't get stuff done in a timely fashion -Payroll doesn't do their job (pay sometimes is weeks late) -Dispatchers tend to be rude -Also, refuse to talk to spouses when you ask them to -Says they are family oriented, but tends to be the opposite -Acadamy and trainers don't help -Acadamy discriminates against females -Company says they care about CSA scores, but then tell drivers to drive with faults in the vehicle or trailer

Pros

- You work in a small office and get to know your co-workers. - The job is easy, but you have to be able to work quickly and efficiently as you are constantly talking on the phones and recording/entering data. - You will probably like who you're working with. They work hard and keep their heads down so as to not upset management.

Cons

- Management and payroll are constantly screwing you over for the hours you work - The company was bought out by another, kept the same name, and is running it into the ground. - Subaru is the primary reason Venture makes money and they are an incredibly frustrating company to work for. They work their suppliers harder than they do, leaving a giant mess of product in the trailer yard. - Management is constantly changing. I've seen 2 General Managers and 4 Operation Managers in less than 2 years. - Management is also very inconsistent among themselves. This leads them to place blame on to lower employees. - You will feel like a puppet completing menial tasks. Constant repetition of the same work, day in and day out. - The programs used are outdated, run poorly, and need massive overhauls to improve efficiency. - Management is very cheap and will not spend money to improve operations, hence the low opinions

Pros

Venture is a close knit company that can feel like family. Great co-workers and good salary! Everyone is very friendly and always willing to help if asked. The CEO is absolutely wonderful.

Cons

Internal communication at Venture can sometimes lack within from employees to one another. With the merger that recently occurred instructions on how to handle haven't been passed down effectively enough it sometimes seems. Benefits aren't the best.
