Pros

Work from home, seing something different each day.

Cons

The expectation is that field reps will work unpaid overtime hours to meet production goals. Management instructs field staff to falsify time records by not including any over time work and forcing employees to use comp time instead- while still maintaining unreasonable production. Field staff is spread extremely thin making it difficult to even take time off, because production quotas and work flow remain constant even if your off on PTO. Managers provide zero actual support or assistance and are only in place to provide upper management with production numbers. Out dated equipment makes the workflow ridiculously complicated. This job is not what it was described to me to be during the interview process. Pay raises are a joke, only one per year and mine have been a 1% and a .05%. A 10 cents an hour pay raise for the year at this level of work is just insulting. Ya there are bonus opportunities for each quarter, but you literally have to have an extra months worth of production for the quarter to receive it- which means working unpaid overtime hours.

Pros

Smart people to work with. Flexible work hours: you can come in anytime between 6.30 am - 9.30 am, take (reasonably) any amount of time for lunch and as long as you work your 8 hours it's ok.

Cons

Discourage work from home through questining your professionalism if you don't want to physically be present in the office.Company is supposedly best in the data analytics environment but average pay. No transparency in raises/bonuses and promotions. Promotion structure very arbitrary up to manager's personal perception.

Pros

Verisk is a great, stable company that has been very focused on change and creating diversity and inclusion. On the corporate level, they are really trying to develop and retain talent.

Cons

My Department management was toxic and hostile. They micromanaged, changed their minds and direction without telling you, made incorrect assumptions, blamed you when something went wrong and took credit when something went right. They routinely lied to staff about career opportunities and promoted people that didn’t even come close to deserving it. Good staff always left while the bad ones stayed. The harder you work, the more they tried to break your spirit. It sent me into a terrible depression. Senior management is still trying to manage the way they did 30 years ago. It doesn’t work! It wasn’t until I left and went to a place that valued me and my experience, that I realized how undervalued I was.
