Pros

provided a decent income, and had some quality peers and techs with whom i worked.

Cons

work week averaged 60 hours to over one hundred when "on call". all were threatened to be fired monthly on average. goals were designed to be unachievable. if anyone made them, they were changed or abandoned. management by intimidation does not and has not ever worked, yet it still persists from the top down. if upper management wants to cut costs, they reduce management and budgeting at the local level to ensure thier goals are met. trend to eliminate any "elder" managers over 45 with or without cause.

Pros

Good pay and Benefits, nice facilities.

Cons

Treat their outsource vendors like they own them. Verizon because of the size has crossed so many co-employment lines there is class action forthcoming for those actions. You can tell other companies that do contract work for you to fire their employees or how to discipline them. They are too big and arrogant. Better get the wallet ready, some big dogs are coming after it!
