      Pros

      If youre wanting to get into sales verkada helps you fast track the path. Good food in office daily.

      Cons

      The AAE role is a high-volume, high-output position requiring 45 hours of outbound cold calling per week. The environment is strictly office-based with a mandatory nine-hour workday. While there is a clear path to promotion, the transition requires passing rigorous exams that demand 10–20 hours of study time each. Because the daily call volume is so high, this studying must be done unpaid after work hours. The culture is intensely metrics-driven. Sales professionals are evaluated strictly on their numbers; failing to hit quota often results in immediate termination or a lack of internal support and respect. Furthermore, the onboarding and training programs are minimal, leaving employees to self-teach complex processes. It is a "performance-first" environment where individual development is secondary to hitting the bottom line.

      Perspective: Growth / Marketing, not Sales Pros - High trust and autonomy: Genuine backing from leadership to test ideas and think creatively. If you can make a clear, logical case, you’re almost always given support and room and to execute. - Sophisticated growth capability: Growth teams have dedicated ops and engineering support. This level of infrastructure enables experimentation that most ANZ B2B companies don’t have exposure to. - Very strong product and fundamentals: Clear right to win, large TAM, solid unit economics, and strong funding. This allows the business to take a longer-term view on bets that won’t pay off immediately. - Access to global best practice: Opportunities to train at HQ, spend time there, and work closely with global teams.

      Cons

      Growth / Marketing lens - US-centric by default: International teams may need to put in additional work to build support for new segments or regional GTM strategies that haven’t yet been proven in the US. This is expected though - Five days in office: Heavier than most companies and can be challenging for people with young families. That said, the office culture is genuinely strong and the perks make it easier than it sounds (commuting costs covered, daily meal allowance when in-office).

      Pros

      I've been working at Verkada for over 4 years now, and I have been in the Marketing Department for the entirety of my career here. I wanted to call out that the biggest positive in working here is the investment in my growth, both personally and professionally. I have been given constant coaching and ample amounts of opportunity for different experiences. I can't speak to the sales org in detail given that I haven't been fully immersed in it, but the marketing culture is the best it has ever been. I have watched it evolve into something that is collaborative, communicative, and creative in ways that it hasn't been before. The entire org is truly working together as a team in order to get where it's trying to go. Verkada is what you make of it. The more accountability you take for yourself and your career here, and how you advocate for yourself, will have a direct impact on your experience at this company.

      Cons

      We are continuously trying to find ways to bridge the gap between Sales and Marketing, and that has to come from the top down.
