Pros

The company is in several different industries so layoffs are rare, the company will move you to somewhere else where there is work. Pay is good for the area, benefits are top notch. Busy years bring a lot of overtime.

Cons

It's hard to advance, especially if you are good at your job, at least on the production floor. Managers don't like to lose good workers. Generally it takes you having to be friends with a ranking employee, or being hired by a past manager, to move up.
