Pros

You'll make some friends here, laughing together and crying together. Mostly laughing at the hilarity that takes place and crying over how pathetic it is.

Cons

A lot of people need to be brought down to earth. People think they are the next closest thing to God and are untouchable, and the worker ants are mere peasants to them that can be replaced, mainly in the form of nepotism. That alone is one of the many unethical things going on there. Everyone's business is made front page news-good, bad or in-between. A bunch of unsocialized children who've been catered to their whole lives by mommy and daddy when you get to the root of it... If you're seeking more, you won't find it here. You'll plateau and be bored, and be careful if you speak your mind on that front. It can go either way. And depend on no one but yourself because a lot of people go back on their word.

Pros

Vacation days I guess. That’s about it.

Cons

Mass exodus around people of color. You will watch everyone around you get promoted. Low pay, people at the top do very little. Unqualified and inexperienced white individuals are promoted. Company acknowledges that there is an issue but it’s still not fixed.

Pros

Music, snacks, some genuinely nice people, convenient office location, happy hours, and the very rare sightings of great artists.

Cons

Don't let HR's song and dance during the interview process distract you from the circus performances in the background.  They, in addition to managers have been trained to lie to good candidates to get them in the door.  Many of the "cons" I listed below have been mentioned in other reviews, which shows the company is in no rush to fix anything. There is a very thick layer of misery and anger in the office. Here it goes... - Highest voluntary turnover I have ever seen at any company i've worked for- 5 people in, 7 people out...repeat every week (this is amongst only 300 or so employees!!!!!!) - Senior management is a boys country club with a couple of rude and condescending women begging to fit in. They parade around the office bragging about golf trips and lavish vacations while their departments are falling apart. They directly support covering up managerial misconduct, which is why employees are desperate to leave - Very little diversity - if your skin is not the color of snow, forget about growth or promotions. You won't get anything no matter how talented you are. If you don't believe me, find a few former employees on LinkedIn and they will verify this for you - Benefits are awful - insurance is terrible, HR benefits team is useless, plans change every year, vacation time is very limited - the list goes on and on - Managers are unqualified, untrained, and have no idea of the work their teams are doing yet receive the credit - Favortism and nepotism galore If you're intelligent and have goals for your career, do yourself a favor and join a reputable organization where your skills will be valued. Don't waste your time here. Vevo will suck the life out of you and it will end up being the worst career decision of your life.
