Pros

The company is a market leader and way ahead of its competition - creates lots of energy and never-ending technological challenges and innovations - in scale, in features, and in new product launches. The mission of making transportation accessible for low-income communities, school kids and people with disabilities is truly inspiring. The technology stack is mostly based on Python, AWS, Serverless/K8s, React. The company and management are making huge efforts to constantly improve efficiency, code quality, and scalability.

Cons

Via is a high-paced workplace, there's always a lot to do - business growth, new launches, support and maintenance. This load can be pressuring at times. There's never a dull moment - for the good and for the bad. It can be challenging to find room to invest in tech debt, re-architecture and infrastructure - although this has recently started to change with more scale-up coming.

Highly skilled professionals who are not only passionate about using technology to revolutionize transportation but also deeply committed to making the world a better place.

Cons

Via has high expectations for its employees, and the work can be challenging. You may be required to work on complex projects with tight deadlines, which can be stressful.

Pros

Super smart and empathetic coworkers Engaging and exciting product Really feels like you're making a difference in the world Great office facilities

Cons

The recent reorganizations have brought American politics and toxicity to the forefront at the cost of a honest and retrospective company culture that used to celebrate learning from mistakes and moving forward. The current management does not allow for any individuality, any thought, any creativity to the day to day work of employees, and have brought incapable and dishonest people to manage large parts of the organization, miring it with office politics, backstabbing, and lack of transparency. Non-existent HR in the Tel Aviv site at best, at worst actively sabotaging and hurting their own employees with their "practices"
