Pros

There are so many pros to this company, I’m not sure where to begin. I guess what everyone looks for, fair compensation, great benefits and flexible schedule. In addition this company is so rewarding to work for. I am told almost daily how valued I am as an employee, and I work with a fantastic group of people. As a nurse this type of atmosphere can be challenging to find. When I accepted the position with ViaQuest over 3 years ago it was a step out of my comfort zone and one I have never regretted. I can honestly say that I have never come into contact with anyone at ViaQuest that doesn’t have the the needs of the people we serve as their top Priority. I have enjoyed getting to know and working with our vast DD population and it has brought so much meaning to my life. I believe that this company, what they stand for and what they do is truly my calling in life. Thank you ViaQuest for offering me the career of a lifetime!

Cons

I would love to see ViaQuest expand to be more active in the lives of individuals outside of our service area!

Pros

There have been very positive changes within the management team. I feel very fortunate to work for this company. I can honestly say I feel valued and appreciated. For the reviews that list salary or work life balance as a con: I actually had a pay increase coming to this company from my prior employer and I do believe the pay is competitive. Also this is hospice. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There will always be work to do and people to care for. I didn't become a hospice nurse expecting to work Monday through Friday 8 hours a day. Work life balance is important and I feel Viaquest Hospice strives to make that a priority for employees BUT you can't work for any hospice organization and then be surprised that holidays and weekends need covered. It's just not the way hospice works. This job isn't for everyone. You have to be flexible and understanding of last minute schedule changes. It seems like whenever there is any employee turn over the bad reviews pour in. I would urge people to read these reviews carefully and you can see who is honestly trying to say pros and cons and who is just being vindictive.

Cons

I cover a pretty large territory which is to be expected but I do think we could possibly align the territories a little better. It's not the traveling that I mind, I just hate when I'm far away from someone who needs me.
