Pros

Free stuff. That was pretty much my only reason for staying with Victoria's Secret stores for so long.

Cons

The management was probably one of the biggest problems at the store I was employed. I felt unappreciated, unmotivated as well as unprepared to fully help the customers even after hours of training. Management seemed very annoyed whenever I approached them with any questions. Also, I was very frustrated that I had to trick people into signing up for the Victoria's Secret credit card (which is a bunch of crap) in order to keep my hours. Management based employee productivity entirely on the amount of credit cards sold- which makes zero sense since I never worked register; I would explain the "benefits" to a customer, the customer would think about it, then the girls at the register would get all the credit. 8.20 an hour isn't worth all the crap i had to put up with.

Pros

discount, learning about an exciting brand that is growing, sales education which will be helpful in other positions, the friends that you make

Cons

long hours around the busier times of year, it is a little unfair in the way in which promotions are given like sometimes you don't feel considered regardless of good performance and how much effort you put forth, also new associates are usually given higher starting wages than veteran associates because the yearly raise is usually a max of 4% yet they increase their new hires wages by more than that. You start to feel jipped after being there for a long time

Pros

Compensation. At the management level, it's the best in the industry. Also, when you do travel for work, they treat you like royalty.

Cons

The sales associates are not well paid, and thus, you get what you pay for. It's hard to get associates that actually care and are there to perform, not just collect a check.
