Pros

I work with a great group of girls and our customer base is very loyal to our store. There is room for growth within my own store as well as access to positions in the other stores in the district.

Cons

I work in a free-standing store so it's not as hectic as the mall which should make it easier for management to see which employees are excelling and which employees aren't accomplishing anything. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case in our store.

Pros

I love my co-workers and management. When I and other team members do well we are recognized and complimented for our achievements. The discount is nice as well, along with launch promotions for employees. For the most part, it seems like the girls all really connect.. obviously this won't be 100% across the boards (I don't think it would be that way anywhere). I also feel very connected with the rest of the district in terms of business and performance. Managers are flexible with time off, and during the holidays hours are very good.

Cons

The pay (for lower volume stores-- which is where my experience lies) is minuscule, definitely not a livable wage as part time. Hours are short, especially if plan is not met for the first day of the week. No benefits unless your are management level. As a sales associate (even elevated ones) the income is not sufficient to get by, and opportunity to move up into management positions seem sparse.

Pros

There's a great associate discount and discount at cross-brand stores (Bath and Body Works, C.O. Bigelow)

Cons

on-calls are awful. promotions were arbritary and I never received one after working for the company after almost 2 years although new girls would come in and get promoted after maybe 8 months
