Great Company, Great Management Team

Pros

I've had a very positive experience in my 2 years at Videology. The company is always changing, so there's never a dull day. I have found senior management at the company to be very smart, approachable, transparent, and nice -- Scott Ferber sets this tone and it trickles down to the levels below him. Everyone works together to get the job done, and there is a great energy across departments. I have worked at companies with very negative feelings of bureaucracy and "the most senior person in the room is always right." This is not the case at Videology at all. If you are smart and work well with the rest of the company, you'l be valued and you'll do well.

Cons

Now that the company is growing, and given the competition with other tech companies, I think there is a need to re-evaluate some of the benefits, including the disappointing 401k plan and maternity leave policies.

Great Company to Work For

Pros

- Having Scott Ferber as your CEO - he's off-the-wall, but in a great, positive way. - Friendly, young, intelligent workforce. - Team-first attitude. Me-first attitudes are not accepted. - Transparent work environment. - It doesn't matter how you get there; at the end of the day, if you accomplish your goals, that's all that matters. There's a "work smarter, not harder" work attitude. - Ample opportunity for professional growth and promotions. - People care about their work here and you can see it.

Cons

- As a fast-growing company, certain initiatives, projects and programs can get "lost in the sauce." - 401K isn't matched by company.

Rewarding and Challenging

Pros

Videology is the 4th company I have worked for in my 12 year career. I can say, without a doubt, that this is the most exciting, rewarding and challenging work environment that I have ever been a part of. I've worked for 3 different managers in my time here and each of them has been stellar - open minded, conscientious and driven. I'm allowed the freedom to get my job done without anyone breathing down my neck or looking over my shoulder. Overall, my colleagues are hardworking and incredibly competent. We have a fun and laid back environment, but at the same time, there is healthy competition to excel at your job. I would highly recommend Videology to prospective applicants looking to push themselves to their highest potential.

Cons

It’s tough to complain too much when I know what other companies are like compared to Videology. The one thing I will mention is a lack of a 401k match. They do offer a 401k, but I don’t see much of a point in participating without some kind of match. They are still granting stock options at hiring, but as we approach almost 400 employees, it seems time to begin a 401k match.
