Great company was supportive upper management, but beware of the Alexandria location
Pros
• The CEO and COO are fantastic leaders who genuinely care about their employees. They have an open-door policy and make an effort to create a positive work environment across the company. • Upper management listens to concerns and works toward improvement when issues are brought up. • Great team environment in many of the Virginia Heart locations, especially when you’re floated to other sites. These locations have supportive teams and fewer workplace issues.
Cons
The Alexandria location is unfortunately an exception. The manager and supervisor engage in constant gossip, which creates a toxic work environment. • There is clear favoritism at Alexandria regarding attendance policies. Some employees are allowed to get away with being late or calling out, while others are unfairly reprimanded. HR has proof of this inconsistent enforcement. • Recommendation: Avoid the Alexandria location if possible, but working at any other Virginia Heart location has been a much better experience.
