Great company to work for. Very much focused on diversity and work-life balance.

Small non-profit with interesting mission servicing national security and Virginia Tech
Competitive salaries for non-profit; great benefits
Convenient location near metro and many of its clients
- I very much enjoy working with clients that are scientists and engineers themselves which keeps me up on state of the art tech
- The management values initiative and they seem to really want to hear, respect, and consider my ideas
- Never a dull day on the job...very dynamic due to the small size and diversity of clients
- Room for staff to grow vertically (title/responsibility) and horizontally (collaboration, technical skills, project types)
- Even though they are a gov contractor, I feel secure in my job because they have several large, long term contracts and they value their staff over profit
Cons
It’s a young company still trying to figure itself out and earn the respect of its big brothers. Sort of like a startup, with all the pros (above) and cons (below) that come with it.
- lacks some of the infrastructure of larger companies such as a well resourced IT department
- atmosphere/morale can be easily swayed in the small company (one bad apple...)
