Pros

Visionist is an all-around great company. The leadership genuinely cares about the well-being of every employee. The people that work here are so respectful towards one another foster a community of collaboration and learning. If you want to learn new skills, this company goes out of the way to make sure you can achieve your goals. I haven't met a single person that has any grumblings about working here. There seems to be zero office politics and unfair hierarchy. Projects are agile (but not so orthodox, that we get bogged down with a lot of procedural meetings) and employees are empowered to work autonomously, which leads to good decisions being made and personal investment in creating good work. The people here are super bright and hard-working. The benefits are pretty good - Lots of leave time, the ability to flex your hours, conferences and training budgets, casual dress code. The office is also a really nice space.

Cons

Very little! I believe that management is doing the best they can with their resources to make Visionist a great company to work at. If I have to point out a couple things they can do better at, it's this: Parental leave seems to be below industry standards, especially now that other competing technology companies are focusing on this benefit and ramping up on parental time off. Although, they did add some parental leave recently. The ability to work from home, have self-education hours, or have inclement weather hours for people at HQ would be good. People who work in government offices and can't go into the office during a snowstorm get some time off, but others in the office shouldn't have to make the choice of using personal time or risk going into the office during snow storms.

Pros

At Visionist, it's been clear that they care about their employees from day one. Nothing over the past 5+ years has made me feel any differently. The benefits are amazing and the culture is fantastic. Management takes the time to make sure that you are happy. And if you want a change, they are more than willing to help you find new work that interests you. They embrace new ideas and fully understand that happy employees make the best employees.

Cons

Not all work is co-located, different contracts are at different locations. However, the company has a strong presence in their on-line collaboration space and there are plenty of after hour and team build events that you always feel like part of the Visionist family, despite sitting apart during the work day.
