Dishonest

Pros

Above average hourly pay for the area.

Cons

Never get 40 hours. Management is extremely micro-managing and change the rules as you go. They were dishonest in the interview stating that sales are not required. They are very much required. They also inflated the yearly income of the techs they stated were earned. Its a cutthroat hivemind culture, pitting "teams" against each other fir revenue. The company also just sold out to pay debts...not a good sign.

Questionable Middle Management

Recommend

Pros

Upper management seems to be sharp and motivated. They've got vision and want the company to do well. HR is genuinely interested in retaining good people. They are trying to promote communication within the ranks. The company embraces technology solutions.

Cons

Ugh, middle management. Where do they find some of these people? They're selfish, powerpoint monkeys who couldn't lead a band of cub scouts. It seems they've forgotten that after all the powerpoint, spreadsheets, and schmoozing are over, something still has to happen. Nothing is as demoralizing as someone taking credit for all of your work and then demanding more. They will be the reason I leave. HR is trying to retain people but these efforts are seriously thwarted by middle managers. Nothing epitomizes this more than HR having a mental health awareness day and your manager scrutinizing and guilting you for stepping away from your desk. Same thing with lunch, if you take more than fifteen minutes, comments will be made. These same people have no problem calling you at 8:30 pm when you're sitting down to dinner or on your days off with your family. Oh yeah, almost forgot, when we had the employee survey, I was seriously and closely coached by my manager and his manager. Really, really weird. Not so anonymous. I've decided to play along until I can find something else.
