Everything that I went through was awful. I now work for an amazing company who cares about you as an employee so i have nothing good to about Von Maur. Like the title says wrost company ever

Time and a half on Sundays Higher base pay Commission Vacation time after 90 days Good coworkers More hours than most part-time jobs

Cons

Upper management is stuck up and clueless Minimum 3 day availability M-F and weekend availability Unfair treatment with associates Not flexible with scheduling Management expects you to bend over backwards for them and the store but not willing to return the favor

off on major holidays - pleasant physical workplace

Cons

Lack of contact between store management and associates - secretive way store is operated - the time clock system is geared toward punishing you if as little as a minute late - the feeling is that company is always watching employees with the camera security system - turnover is very high and floor coverage is always being adjusted to compensate for lack of employees - women dress code behind the times - return policy is in need of review - customers taking advantage
