Management is very clique-y. Will take the customers side on an argument over the employee every time. There are many responsibilities; writing hand written thank you notes to customers, opening Von Maur Charge accounts, cleaning, keeping a book of returning customers, and also Merchandise Requests for any customers who actually want the merchandise, or just want to take advantage of the offer. These things would be reasonable, if Management would take the time to allow you to accomplish them. Staff is unreliable, always calling off sick or leaving early. Management will tell you one thing, then do the other. Customers are extremely demanding and inconsiderate. Will cut some employees a lot of slack and come down hard on others; seems biased.

Could not trust anyone, afraid to talk or be friends with anyone. Management was always watching overhead (cameras) in every department. Had to call management to let them know you need to use the restroom.
