      Pros

      very caring co-workers, several caring and loyal customers, comparatively good hours, great merchandise, intrest-free charge account, with employee discount, good employee benefits, beautiful work surroundings,

      incomptent store and floor management, very anxious enviroment, incongruity with management, overly condescending executive staff, unfair communication blame, lack of expressions of approval and gratitude

      Pros

      -The hourly wage plus commission (3% in cosmetics, 10% in shoes, 1% everywhere else) -Elegant atmosphere -Nice coworkers -Closes at 9pm so no late nights -Paid time and a half on Sundays

      Cons

      -Very slow. There are not enough customers to meet sales goals. Much of the time is spent standing around. You're expected to keep busy and not talk to the other coworkers in your area. -Management watches you from the camera room. -The dress code is very strict and out of date. -TESS, the computer system that makes the schedule. Makes it difficult to discuss your schedule or availability with management because there is not much they can do about it since the computer system makes your schedule. -Hard to get days off when needed. Management will decline your request off and will not discuss with you why. -Management will not work around other schedules in your life such as school schedules, other jobs, or family issues.

      Great pay Growth opportunities Co-workers Closed on major holiday's and no holiday hours Time and a half on Sunday's Money for customer compliments (so extra money for doing your job!) Nice environment Great merchandise Associates are empowered to take care of customer situations without having to call management Open door policy

      Cons

      Weekends-If weekends off are what you are looking for then you probably shouldn't work retail Standing on your feet- If you don't want to stand on your feet then don't work retail If you are looking for a "clerking" position this is not for you!
